Edinburgh Community Backgreens Association
ECBA is a community enterprise created to inspire and support residents to regenerate tenement backgreens into community greenspaces which build a sense of neighbourhood and improve the amenities available to the households that live around them.
Metazoa, together with 27BITS was commissioned to design and build the association's website, and thoroughly enjoyed collaborating on the project with ECBA director Greig Robertson.
Greig said: "This was our first website and so there were quite a few unknowns when we started to develop the site. Metazoa and 27BITS guided us through the process from concept to completion and were responsive and flexible to our needs as we found our feet. The resulting website has been a real success and we look forward to using it this year as an integral development tool in communicating with our target groups."
The site features image galleries, interactive maps, downloadable documents, RSS news feeds and a residents survey. Each backgreen site has its own mini website, with site updates and information. A members area allows the ECBA board to share resources and plan future developments.
